The New Arthritis Breakthrough August 31, 2010 Antioch Nutrition Gal The book was a great deal, since the list price was $22.95 and it was a hardback edition. It did have some type of a light, coffee stain throughout most of the book, but it was in the right margin so it didn't affect the readability. For the cost of shipping however, I feel that it should've been shipped priority mail, not book rate.
Very informative book written about the history of antibiotic treatment for rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, and other related conditions, which I am using to decide whether or not to utitilize this therapy, for which my doctor has provided a prescription, and the Arthritis Foundation now lists in their pamphlet on medications for arthritis.
earning an alternate treatment for RA August 30, 2010 deborah I found this book to be enlighting. I took it to my next visit with my Dr. and was pleased to find out that not only was he aware of this treatment but accecpted it. He did tell me that Mira is not without side effects stated in the book. Like anything else, you must be your own advocate and learn and question the treatment. My RA is mild and the treatment does not involve some of the meds mentioned in the book that are bad for you and if needed we will use more of the anti-biotic treatment.
New Arthritis Breakthrough July 29, 2010 LaVerne Smith This is an excellent book and very specific and informative. It gives one hope that they just don't have to live with the pain and problems of rheumatoid arthritis. It also gives one information to take to doctors, many of whom seem to be clueless about how to treat this.
Saved my life!!!! May 12, 2010 Robin Mcqueen (Cedar Rapids, IA) I recently purchased this book on a recommendation from a doctor. I have severe fibromyalsia and he wanted me to read the book before I went through with the antibiotic IV treatments he offers. After reading this book, I was so excited. The book explains exactly why people with RA and fibro feel the way they do. I even cried when I read some of the stories from people because now I know they don't have to suffer the way they do. I decided to go through with the antibiotic IV treatments and 4 months later I am a completely new person. I have energy again and I feel SO MUCH BETTER! I am still on pain medication, but I have been able to go longer between doses and some days I don't have to take as many. I feel like I have my life back. After 14 years of having to lay down 2 times a day and some days not even being able to take a flight of stairs, I am so grateful for the treatments. Anyone out there suffering from the diseases listed in this book, please, please, please read this and go through with the treatments. You have nothing to loose and EVERYTHING to gain. Good luck and feel better!
It works. May 11, 2010 Annie Fields (South Coastal Massachusetts) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I read this book and found a doctor at Beth Israel in Boston who put me on minocycline in the hope that I would go into remission in 2 years. When I drove to the appointment to see him my RA pain was so bad I could barely grip the wheel and I literally could not lift my coffee cup with my right arm cuz my elbow hurt so bad (strangely, the only non-symmetrical pain I had). I had to reach over with other arm to lift it! I am now beginning my third year and am improved... Not CURED, but let me put it you this way: I don't cry every day anymore. That's HUGE.
